Vicious By Debra Webb

Eric Spears is back and is just as cruel as he has been in the past he has people everywhere willing to help him kill people, and he’s got Jess, Dan and her team doing double time trying to figure out the new pattern. Some of the victims are video recorded right before their death and sent to Jess’s phone as she’s getting the call to investigate these brutal crimes. At first Jess didn’t know that these recent murders were the works of Spears, but when Jess uncovers a clue at her Aunt Wanda’s house and guess who has reached out to Wanda, Spears! He got Jess’s life story. Jess did find it odd that someone got killed in Dan’s old apartment, and then she found out the first homicide that morning was in the bedroom Jess was born in. This book was filled with twists and turns and it was a great read indeed. Find out what Dan thinks of Jess’s pregnancy and see what kind of ride Dan and Jess are in for. I’m looking forward to the next book, when I think Debra you have done it she comes back with something even bigger!

Wolfkeeper's Woman By Lisa Day

Cassie and Frank had a family, a lovely home, and a great marriage. One morning Cassie was waiting for Frank and his best friend to come in for breakfast. While she was looking out for them she saw her husband then she saw him go down as well as his friend. She didn’t know what happened until she saw the Indians all around. Cassie was stunned, when she recovered she swiftly got her son in her arms, and there she stood toe to toe with the leader Wolfkeeper. She tried to get away and Wolfkeeper hit her and took her baby away and handed him to another Indian, when he did that she wailed and carried on like an ‘Animalistic’ screeching and that scared the Indians and Wolfkeeper called her ghostwoman. On the way to the Indians camp Wolfkeeper would let her breastfeed her baby with no other contact. Little did she know this was going to be the last time she would be known as the infant’s mother.
When they arrived at camp Cassie was ignored and her son was brought to Wolfkeepers family to be raised. They would bring the baby to Cassie when he needed to be fed, at one point they told her she couldn’t look at him, touch him even think about him, her son was dead to her. Wolfkeeper taught her the ways of his world in a harsh manner if she didn’t do what she was told she would know it. He never forced himself on her but touched her in her most private areas. He may have been harsh with her but he was also her protector. And after living with Wolfkeeper Cassie’s guard was coming down, when he touched her, she would lust for him, he told her there would be a day they would be joined. Would Cassie fall in love with the man who stole her child? Would she forgive him? Would she find her child? All those will be answered in this book, this was an exceptional Historical fiction. It was Sad, happy, and frightening. I loved it!

Love & Betrayal on the Santa Fe By Lisa Day

In the mid 1800’s men were advertising for wives, woman would travel miles and miles to meet their future husbands. One this specific trip there was Calico and 5 other woman and some other travelers, these woman had to be strong woman to take the trip, it was long, dirty, and downright uncomfortable. The men who arranged the trip had to be trustworthy, so one thought.
The trip began uneventful, Lucille was a handful with her wants but nothing the group couldn’t handle. Then things started happening here and there, and Calico got really sick and miraculously she got better thanks to Tasa the Indian that was traveling with them. Calico was starting to sense that Tasa was starting to like her, and she was friendly towards him.
In the middle of the trip one of the men got what he thought was smallpox so some of the other voyagers went on without them to make a stop they needed to make Calico and the girls stayed. Then their Hell Started. When one of the men came back to check on them there was nothing to be found but the dead. What happened when the group split? Did the girls get to safety, or did they run into Indians? This book was awesome I just loved it I think Lisa Day is a great author. I can’t wait to read more.
